My First Umrah (December 2022): Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah, Where the Journey Began
Every journey has a first step. Mine was a 20-day Umrah in December 2022: Saudia from Pakistan to Jeddah, then Makkah, Madinah and back to Makkah.

Every travel channel has an origin story. Mine isn't a backpacking trip or a road trip. It's an Umrah.
On 5 December 2022 I flew out of Pakistan for the first time. Twenty days later, on 25 December, I came home a different person, and I knew I wanted to keep going.
The route
I kept it simple, the way most first-time pilgrims do:
- Pakistan to Jeddah on Saudia.
- Jeddah to Makkah by road for the first Umrah.
- Makkah to Madinah.
- Madinah back to Makkah.
- Jeddah to Pakistan, again on Saudia.
I didn't go anywhere else in Saudi Arabia on this trip. No Riyadh, no AlUla. Just the two holy cities.
No camera, just the experience
I didn't make vlogs on this trip. Looking back, that might have been a blessing. I wasn't thinking about angles or edits. I was just there.

What a first Umrah teaches you about travel
- Airports stop being scary. Check-in, immigration, transit: once you've done it, you can do it anywhere.
- Plan less, notice more. The best moments weren't on any plan.
- Strangers in the Haram gave directions, water and dates without being asked.
